Yet another software developer blog?

So yes - as the title suggests this is yet another ‘I’m becoming a software developer" blog.

Although the market is saturated and there are SO many brilliant and insightful blogs regarding software and tech, I’ve decided to throw my hat in the ring - why?

Well originally I was against the idea of creating and writing a blog - I’m not much of a writer and honestly there’s always self doubt that creeps in -

“Will anyone read?” “Will I embarrass myself by showing I’m behind the crowd and still learning?”

These and so many other thoughts float around my head and after some contemplating I came to the conclusion - what does it really matter?

I took a step back and realised over the last year I've achieved so much;

• I have created and run a successful business!
• I've bought a house!
• I'm learning piano!
• I AM LEARNING TO CODE!
• I've decided its time for career shift
• I've increased my salary AND my work-life balance

And then while thinking over the these things, it dawned on me that the only battle I fight is one with myself and I have proved to myself I can overcome it.

Self doubt is the killer of progress - and I often find myself reminding myself that 'Progress' is a great step and 'Perfection' is unattainable.

So here I am writing a blog.

Where better to work through thoughts and experiences about this journey than with other (awesome) people who are set on the same journey as I am, its a great way to reflect, process and engage.

I better wrap this blog up as its study time in preparation for my lecture! I plan to cover my background and my journey into the tech world in future posts.
